This release improves upon what is already the most powerful
Wireless Analyzer and Decoder among all existing products
by offering to the user a better experience at every step.
The newest product is a major upgrade from the previous version.
Development has moved on to some exciting new features, the
"Outdoor Premium Release". WinAirsnort Second Generation
includes now many new features and enhancements for the 802.11b
and 802.11g WiFi network, and furthermore a GPS interface
that supports transfer of data, allowing users to communicate
with handheld GPS units. Protocol supported is a standard
NMEA183 on RS-232.
WinAirsnort 2.0 has been designed to help administrators
for capturing and analyzing network packets on wireless 802.11b
networks. This powerful tool is now capable of capturing network
packets that going through the 802.11g network. This product
gathers information about data passing through your WiFi hardware
card that is set on a special mode called "RF monitor
mode" and decodes the analyzed data, that means the WEP
and WPA key may be recovered. WinAirsnort 2.0 for WiFi is
among all Windows programs the best choice for network monitoring,
capturing, analyzing and decrypting WEP and WPA data on wireless
networks.
WinAirsnort for WiFi is mainly intended for educational,
training purposes at home or systems administrators that want
to audit and evaluate their wireless network installations.
The objective of WinAirsnort is to improve the security and
integrity of the analyzed network. The wireless lacks in the
security of the infrastructure shall then be compensated and
protected against hypothetical, but entirely realistic attacks.
